Alyson Pemoulié's passion for color began when she was in high school. She spent her summers working with her dad, matching color swatches in the color library of a textile company. After graduating with a degree in theater, she realized she was also interested in makeup and styling as well as performing.
While at the Carsten Institute in NYC, Alyson realized that color was in her blood. She began her career at Eva Scrivo Salon where she was a colorist and co-education director for five years. She spent the next three years working at Edris Salon as a senior colorist and co-color education director.
Aylson prides herself on her dimensional brunettes, platinum blondes, and organic redheads. She believes that the health of the hair is the most important thing and takes great measures to educate her clients on hair care and maintenance. Alyson derives inspiration from her theater background, specifically costumes and bygone eras. The subway is one of her biggest inspirations however, seeing someone's style for a few brief moments and trying to imagine their story.
Alyson's color work has been seen in Elle, and on The Martha Stewart Show, Good Morning America, The Today Show, and The Nate Berkus Show. Alyson is thrilled to be a member of the Whittemore House team.
